With all the trends going on, I am obsessed with classic silk blouses the most. I just purchased my first Equipment Shirt and wore it for the first time today (to work). Just a quick intro on these shirts, they were created by Christian Restoin – does the name ring a bell? He is the partner of former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld, who always looks sooo effortless chic in Equipment shirts.
Equipment shirts are made of premium silk – it is so light and velvety soft, and literally feels like a second skin on your body.

I bought the shirt in xs, and it is still a lot bigger than I expected it to be. It almost feels like an xl on me haha..Since I wore it to work today, I just paired it with a pencil skirt.

Giorgio Armani’s Spring 2011 Collection of Eyes to Kill Silk Eyeshadows are arriving in Australia soon. I can’t wait to get hold of them. In the meantime, I have rekindled my love for the Eyes to Kill eye shadows that I bought from Giorgio Armani’s 2010 Holiday Collection. I might as well do a quick review and swatches of them to share my appreciation of these beautiful eye shadows.

The texture of these are beyond amazing. They glide on your skin like a soft cream shadow, and they are a dream to blend like a silky powder shadow. They are super pigmented when applied by fingers or they can be applied by brushes to sheer them out. The color, the sheen, the sparkle last on me for the whole day without any creases.
I bought 2 Eyes to Kill silk eye shadows from the 2010 Holiday Collection.
No 15 NOIGA has an intense metallic sparkle finish.

No 13 NOIFA has a velvety matte finish.

Swatches on my hand. No 15 is a warm gold with a khaki undertone. No 13 appears navy from the pan, but is more of a charcoal black on the skin.

This week I have been wearing Dior Nirvana on my nails from Dior Rock Your Nails Collection. Out of the entire collection the color of Nirvana caught my attention the most; it appears as a turquoise-green from the bottle, a unique shade I haven’t yet had in my nail polishes collection.
Formulation of Dior nail polish is second to none – 2 coats give you a flawless and smoothest cream finish.

It lasted a week on my nails without a single chip. The picture below is Nirvana on my nails on the 7th day. Compare to the swatch above, I think this one is more of an accurate swatch of Nirvana. It is more of a green color than turquoise.

I am loving the Chanel Coco Rouge Shine lipsticks so much, so I bought two more today. My collection of Chanel Coco Rouge Shine is completed, at least for now.

I have already reviewed 45 Evasion; 56 Chance and 54 Boy in my previous post.
The new ones I bought today are:
* 46 Liberte
* 57 Aventure

46 Liberte is a beautiful coral shade which would look flattering on almost every complexion!

Unlike 56 Chance which is a blue based pink, 57 Aventure is a warm pink with red undertone.

My latest thoughts on the Chanel Coco Rouge Shine lipsticks since my previous post have not changed. I have also noticed these lipsticks make my lips appear so moist and plumped, considering I have very dry lips to begin with these days. It melts in to my lips rather than sitting on top of my lips, totally camouflaging the appearance of my dry lips.
Lastly, Chanel Coco Rouge Shine lipstick retails for AUD$50 in Australia.

The wait is finally over!! I have finally got my hands on the new Chanel Coco Rouge Shine Lipsticks. They are absolutely amazing – actually I am so smitten by every single shade from this new collection. However I only had 10 minutes to shop before the shop closed, so I quickly grabbed the most alluring shades for me. It turns out, according the Chanel manager who served me today, they are the most popular and best selling shades!!
The shades I got are
* 54 Boy!!
* 56 Chance
* 48 Evasion
with boxes:
Packaging wise, Chanel rouge coco shine still retains the classic black sleek tube look with a Chanel logo on the cap.
but the tube size is slimmer than their previous lines:
Swatch for48 Evasion – it is a beautiful peachy nude shade with pink undertone.

Swatch for56 Chance – it is a true pink on me, a very pretty and girly shade.

Last but not least, swatch for the most coveted shade – 54 Boy. I was looking forward to this lipstick the most and it truly lived up to my expectations. I have to say you will not understand the beauty of this shade unless you try it on your lips! It is the most beautiful ‘your lips but better’ shade.

My final thoughts: I am totally blown away by this new range and I will definitely be getting more of them. The texture of Rouge Coco is far more superior than the Aqualumiere which I dislike. It has this lip balm texture, goes on really smoothly and feels extremely soft and light on the lips. They all have a very nice glossy sheen finish.
The overall look with Chanel Boy (btw I just bought the cutest “magic hair clip” which I want to show you all..haha)

I went to a boat party on Saturday night and this is the makeup I wore. I like to wear false eyelashes to parties just to add a touch of glamorous effect to my makeup. I normally go for neutral eye shadows to balance the dramatic effect of false eyelashes so I don’t end up looking like a drag queen.

Eye makeup details:
Eyeshadow used: my favourite Nars neutral Eyeshadow Duo in Kalahari

I used 2 pairs of false eyelashes!

I have no willpower whatsoever when it comes to ‘sold out’ or ‘only a few left’ products. When the pictures of mac wonder woman became available online before they hit the counter, my initial reaction was ‘aw..they are ugly..I would never buy these’. Yes I am the type of person who judges the book by its cover…
As I walked by a MAC counter a week ago, the word ‘sold-out’ immediately caught my eye. It was the Mighty Aphrodite blush from Mac Wonder Woman Collection. I quickly snatched the tester and rubbed it on to my cheeks impatiently… then my heart stopped.. for a few seconds. It was surreal, the blush looked 10 times more beautiful when applied than it does in the pan. I spent a week to finally locate a store that still has the blush and finally received it today.
Packaging wise..it cannot be any uglier..

Once you open it, it is a 2 tone blush which is rather appealing. The lighter side is more of a coral/peach color with shimmer, and the dark side is in between pink and red.

On my face: For picture purpose I applied more blush than I would normally use. I have to say I really really like how it looks on my face! I applied the hot pink shade onto the center of my apples, then I swept the lighter shade across my cheeks.

Have you bought anything from Mac Wonder Woman? What is your favorite product? Anything else I should be checking out?
