Twin Sets de Chanel – Le Vernis Nail Colors in DÉLICATESSE, INFIDÈLE and PROVOCATION Reviews and Swatches

September 6, 2012

Continued from last year’s tradition, Chanel has created 3 new limited editions Le Vernis nail colors (DÉLICATESSE, INFIDÈLE and PROVOCATION) for 2012’s Vogue Fashion Night out, along with three corresponding Rouge Allure Velvet shades which make up three limited edition Twin Sets de Chanel. I made sure I got my hands on the nail colors as soon as I could as they sell like hot cakes! Upon swatching the lip colors in the store I have decided to give them a miss. The new nail shades are as gorgeous as I expected from what I have seen in the preview, although I would say the colors from the preview pictures slightly deviates from the real products. I feel that with this release Chanel has done what they do the best – the colors are so on-trend, fashionable yet wearable.

DÉLICATESSE: is a refined beige with a hint of brick brown undertone

INFIDÈLE: is a deep muted pinkish berry.

PROVOCATION: is a unique rich autumn plum shade.

It’s gotta be PROVOCATION as I am always more in favor of dark and vampy shades, so I have repainted my nails with it.

They look like the darker cousins of the spring 2012 shades

I really like the colour stories Chanel is releasing every year. From soft to vampy – I always find a shade I ‘need’, haha. Provocation is right up my alley (I had to lol at my last sentece ;).

I plan on picking up the Délicate lipstick, though I wish I could get the Délicatesse & Provocation nailpolishes to match!

These weren’t even really on my radar but Provocation is very tempting.

Oh wow! I love provocation! It reminds me of ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’ by Deborah Lippmman.

Have you by any chance tried the Chanel Lumiere D’artifices beiges illuminating powder?I’d love to hear your thoughts if you have 😀

Lovely! I ordered these yesterday on the phone from BG, hopefully they should be here soon. The lipsticks I knew would just not be for me, I’m more of a RC shine kind of girl rather than RA and definitely not RA velvet!
The Infidele looks a little bit like Essie’s Marathin from the Yogaga collection(?) I just bought Marathin but might return it once I compare it to the Chanel..

Me too, I’m a RC shine girl. Have you tried the new RA intense? They are not in Australia yet…and I’ve been hearing good things about it.

I did see them but they are all very “intense”! And the lighter shades are more pastel, not suitable for me, but you should check them out, there are a couple of beige/pink/peaches that you might like! 🙂 I don’t have a single RA, but the packaging is so classy I’ve always wanted one.. 😉

Was planning to get Delicatesse but most swatches I’ve seen look similar to Bourjois’ Beige Glamour

Hi dear! Thanks for the lovely swatches. INFIDÈLE is so pretty! I am going to get it! 🙂
