What’s on my wishlist

October 20, 2016

As the holiday is approaching, my wishlist is becoming uncontrollably bigger. Here is a quick post sharing the makeup items that are currently on the top of my wishlist. I’ve already acquired some items on the list, but haven’t had a chance to post a review yet.

2016-makeup-wishlist-holiday1. Tom Ford Orchid Collection – I want everything especially the Night Bloom Powder. It is already released in the US,and will be launching in Australia on the 30th October. Pencil this important date in!

2. Tom Ford Holiday 2016 Collection – Absolutely divine. My picks are the Soleil Eye & Cheek Palette, and the limited edition brush sets!

3. Becca Blushed with Light Palette – I like this palette more than the Jaclyn Hill cheek palette as the colors are more neutral and wearable for me.

4. Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Muse Palette – Love the Dolce Vita palette from CT, and this is my second palette that caught my attention from the brand (review coming soon). Available here in Australia.

5. Giorgio Armani Lip Magnet – Just bought them from David Jones online, and love the colors and finish so much. Review coming soon

6. By Terry Impearlious Ombre Blackstar Gift Collection – Such a good value for 5 amazing eye shadow pencils in beautiful neutral colors. Available here worldwide.

7. Suqqu Holiday 2016 Kit A (Japan exclusive) – I always prefer the Japan releases than the UK releases for Suqqu.

8. Suqqu Extra Rich Cream Foundation – Can’t wait to get my hands on this new foundation.

9. Marc Jacobs Beauty Face and Eye Palette (LE) – Perfection for neutral lovers!

September is one exciting month for shopping with all the major retailers rolling out new collections that will set the trend for the next year or so, and they are also doing lots of promotion with beauty shopping . I thought I’d do a round up all the good deals happening at the moment in the US and in Australia

SAKS is currently offering up to $700 giftcard for any fashion purchases use code SEPT2016. For beauty, you will receive a tote bag filled with lots of awesome samples for any beauty and fragrance purchase of $150 or more. In addition, they have dozens of online-only beauty exclusive deals from some popular brands.

Neiman Marcus is also having a major Beauty Event now, which offers a sample filled tote with your $125 purchase, and a deluxe sample bag including prestige brands with your $500 purchase. You can also earn double gift cards with any fashion purchases.

Nordstrom is offering gift with purchase for lots of their beauty brands. My favorites are the gift bags from Nars, Giorgio Armani, La Mer and Jo Malone. Detailed information is here.

David Jones in Australia is also offering their annual deluxe sampler tote for $19.95 with any beauty purchase. It is a good opportunity to try out lots of interesting beauty goodies for a little price.

capture-6Last but not least, one of my favorite fashion retailers FarFetch is offering free worldwide shipping for 3 days only (ends 23/09), and 10% of your first order use code y10aff.

Ever since Net A Porter launched beauty, I became a loyal shopper (I meant – always tag a few beauty products along with my fashion purchases in every shopping cart!) . They don’t have the biggest selection of beauty products as with the department stores, but I like their picks and some of their exclusive beauty brands which are not found in Australia. At the moment they are offering free shipping for orders over AUD$150/USD$300 (normally free shipping for order value of AUD$300 or greater) which I thought was a good opportunity to stock up.

Sharing my hauls and the picks from NAP.

1. Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick – I love CT matte revolution lipsticks (see my review here), and recently she has launched the Hot Lips collection in some beautiful new shades. I posted a few pictures of my picks for the Hot Lips on my insta, but haven’t had the time to do a full review for the blog yet.

2. Charlotte Tilbury Life Changing Eyelash Curler – Reviewed here. It’s so pretty and works as good as my HG Shu curler.

3. Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette – A natural everyday palette for the entire face. Love all the colors in the palette and it is such great value for having lots of multi-purpose shades in one palette. Unfortunately, it is currently sold out, but you can add it to the wishlist and you will be notified.

4. Beauty Blenders – Can’t live without them! I use a new one every 3 months, and I have got them in every size and color!

5. OUAI Haircare – Possibly the hottest haircare brand at the moment. This brand is  launched by Kim Kardashian’s hairdresser, and they are an instant hit. I’ve been trialing out some products lately and absolutely love all of them, especially the treatment mask.

6. Artis Elite Mirror Brush – Totally a new concept for makeup brushes. The foundation brush is my first brush from the brand, and so far I like it very much.

7. BBROWBAR – A great brand that specializes in brow products for every single brow issue. I love their brow pen (have them in several colors) as it is really great for drawing short and hair-like strokes for the most natural real-brow look, and I find them more pigmented and longer lasting than the Japanese brands.

8. Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub – I just bought it and it’s on the way so it’s not in the picture. Heard so many raves about this hair scrub for an intensive cleanse and scalp detoxification.

It definitely wasn’t in my plan to post another makeup deal, but I really wanted to share this exciting offer from Sephora AU that his happening now! Take 15% off EVERYTHING for first time online order for 3 days only, use code TAKE15. We have always seen some great deals in the US Sephora, and it has finally happened in Australia! Sephora has many brands exclusive to themselves in Australia, such as my current favorite Kat Von D – just ordered their liquid lipsticks! Also loving all the lip products from BITE Beauty and NudeStix. Anastasia Beverly Hills Contouring Kit is a must-have, and also really loving some products from IT Cosmetics. The wish/shopping list just goes on and on..

Makeup News!

May 16, 2016

Here is another round of exciting makeup launches happening in Australia.

1. First of all, the highly anticipated Tom Ford Soleil Color Summer 2016 Collection was finally launched in Australia at David Jones yesterday. No surprise that some of the popular items were sold-out within the first hour again in the store, including the Soleil Contouring Compact and Sheer Color Duo, the good news is that they are still available online! If you already know what to get from the collection then I highly suggest  ordering them online, as the Tom Ford counter in the Sydney shop is just getting way too crowded lately.

2. The stunning YSL Le Cushion Foundation is also in the store now! I didn’t think Australia would receive this product, so I already had my friend purchase it for me from overseas. Absolutely loving it, and the packaging is just to-die-for. (review coming soon this week).

3. If you love Cushion foundation, another brand worth checking out is the Shu Uemura Blanc Chroma Cushion Foundation. I am besotted with their foundation and the super cute cushion blushes, (yes another review to come soon!). In short their coverage is the best of all the cushion foundations I have used (as good as a medium coverage foundation), while it looks very luminous and dewy on the skin.

4. Last but not least, really pleased to find out that Sephora AU now carries Edward Bess! My favorite from the line is their luxury eye brush!  Also the latest Kat Von D liquid lipsticks are not to be missed if you like the current trend of matte lips.

Sharing some exciting new makeups and good deals that I spotted this week.

1. The highly coveted Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette (limited edition) is now available at NAP online and ships worldwide! I have already ordered mine, and be sure to get yours if it is on your wishlist before it is all gone! Apparently this is the fastest selling product ever from CT.

2. The long awaited YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Oil In Stick is finally launched in Australia. You can find them at David Jones online. I have ordered a couple of shades already including No43 Rose Rive Gauche, No47 Beige Blouse and 48 Smoking Plum. Really looking forward to receiving them.

3. Last but not least, TATCHA is giving out a deluxe travel size of Pore Perfecting Sunscreen SPF35 with any purchase of $100 or more with the code SPFMINI (offer ends 4/28). This featherweight formula uses silk extracts to leave skin silky smooth and Japanese wild rose to visibly tighten pores. It also creates a beautiful canvas for makeup.

Shopbop is having its annual Family and Friends Sale now with code INTHEFAM for 25% off on full price and sale items (3 days only). It’s always delightful news for people who like stocking up new styles like me! This year there is a major update in the silhouette for the classic items such as Jeans and tops, and my fashion goal to add a few pieces that are on trend for this season. Currently obsessed with anything with flares and frays. I put together some pieces from Shopbop that I am having a major crush over – especially the pictured 3×1 cropped denim with raw hems and a small flare – tres chic! Mules and saddle bags are the accessories to go for this season.

From Top to Bottom:

Gentle Monster Sunglasses

Vanessa Mooney lace choker for less than $40

Elizabeth and James Blouse (currently on sale), also loving this 3.1 Philip Lim Blouse, and this blouse.

3×1 Cropped Boot Cut Jeans, also loving this pair by Victoria Beckham!

Acne Studios Mules

Mini Saddle Bag by Alexander Wang

B-Low the Belt

I know many of you are always excited about Shopbop BIG Event Sales which is happening now till the 5th of March with code BIGEVENT16. This is the best time to make some big purchases including the new season stocks. This year my favorite collections include Rag and Bone (they just completely nailed it with a monochrome theme), and Carven that is always so Persian chic with a playful twist. Theory is my go-to brand for chic and effortless work wear, and last but not least there are always some great shoes and handbags to choose from including my favorite sneaker brand Golden Goose.
