GUCCI

Sharing some accessories that I am loving lately. I would say that my style is towards classic, but I love adding some fun and trendy elements to make the outfit look more modern and younger. This season I am totally sold on the strappy sandal look and the cat eye sunnies. It is still winter in Australia and I couldn’t wait and ordered my first pair of sandals from the new season. They are by Dorateymur which is a very popular IT shoe designer brand from Korea. The style is so chic and the chunky heels make the pair easier to wear. I bought them in my normal size and they feel a bit tight when my feet get swollen in the heat. So I would suggest you go at least half a size up for this style if you plan to wear them in the summer.

My second obsession is the narrow cat eye sunglasses. I recently just got my second pair and this particular model from Le Specs The Last Lolita tends to sell out everywhere. I have been wearing the over-sized sunnies for many years, so it does take some courage to transition to the narrow eye look. The same transition experience you would have from ditching your skinny jeans to mommy jeans. Once you find the right pair, they add a totally different vibe to the outfit and gives you a more up-to-date look.

My other pair Pared Eyewear Petit Amour is from an Australian label which I absolutely adore and they go well with every outfit. It still has the slim look with a more rectangle cat eye shape, so between the two pairs, I would say the Petit Armour is easier and more flattering to wear on most face shapes.

Sales Haul

November 28, 2016

It was quite a stressful weekend for me as there were just way too many good deals to check out! Besides beauty, my orders from Shopbop are slowly arriving. I thought I’d share my first round of haul while the promotion is still on for Cyber Monday.

Boots – Casadei

Necklace – Gabriela Artigas. I’ve been looking for a dainty bar diamond necklace for a very long time, and glad I got this beautiful piece at a special price. It seems to be sold out by now, but another cheaper and smaller diamond bar necklace I love by EF Collection is still available.

Sunglasses – Victoria Beckham. Obsessed with aviators so I have to get my hands on the famous VB aviator!

Hair Clip – Alexandre de Paris. These are the best of the best hair accessories as they are all hand-made in France.

Jeans – Mother Denim

What’s on my Wishlist

September 24, 2014

It’s been a busy week for me but I still have time to ‘window shop’ and put together my wishlist for this month!

1. Gucci Makeup!! – I am so excited about the new Gucci makeup line which is the talk of the town at the moment. The packaging speaks for glamour and luxury, and I sense that these following products will be mine very soon after browsing through the entire range over and over again.

– Gucci Lipstick Exposure and Hibiscus Thrill

Gucci Color Shadow Mono

Gucci Nail Lacquer

– Gucci Eyeshadow Quad Crystal Copper and Tuscan Storm

2. La Mer LE Illuminating Powder – The La Mer  loose powder is the best I have ever used (reviewed here) and it’s sad to see that it’s being discontinued. So thrilled to find this  limited edition illuminating powder set that makes me swoon.

3. La Mer Intensive Revitalizing Mask – If you have read my previous skincare posts, you would know that I am a big fan of La Mer. It’s a brand that you either hate, or you love and you will stick to their products for years and years, and I am the latter. I have seen visible and great results from their products, and I always wished for a more ‘affordable’ wash off type mask from La Mer. So my wish has been granted and I am definitely going to get this one! Also available in Australia now – here.

4. Cle de Peau Radiant Fluid foundation – Cle de Peau’s foundation is the crème de la crème for over a decade in the market. Very intrigued by their latest radiant foundation which sounds even better than the previous ones (reviewed here)! FYI Cle de Peau is currently offering a gift with purchase at Nordstrom.

5. Bottega Veneta Knot – Another amazing fragrance from this designer house! Been wearing the sample everyday and I am completely head over heels with the scent. If you love the Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino you would love this one! Fresh, unique and sophisticated.

6. Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar On the Go – The latest Filmstar range is available on NAP now! I particularly love the color combination of this one.

7. Chloe Drew – Last but not least, a fashion item which is the IT bag at the moment that is spotted everywhere at fashion weeks.  I don’t normally crave for soft pink bags but somehow this bag just grows on me day by day. Such a delicate design with beautiful gold hardware that looks tres chic rather than overly cute. Sold out everywhere except here.

Some updates about me

February 25, 2013

Hi everyone, I just came back from my baby-moon to the beautiful Hamilton Island recently, and that is my exciting news to share although I am still a bit shy about it! Yes I am over 4 months pregnant now and that is why I have been absent from blogging as my focus has been strictly on my ever-expanding belly. I am a first timer so everything about being pregnant is exciting and anxious to me. There are a lot of physical changes that I am still not used to, such as being a few dress sizes bigger now, with a rounder face and feeling swelling everywhere else. I am also having extreme fatigue and nauseous everyday. These things do not sound glamorous at all, but as most mums-to-be would know I could not be happier with where I am now!

These pictures were taken at the magnificent qualia resort at Hamilton Island. The beauty and serenity of this place is breathtaking, and is perfect for a private and indulgent holiday.

Asymmetrical

I love to pair a soft and flowy skirt with something more structured such as a leather jacket or a tuxedo blazer. From what I have read I think this combination was originated by French women. They can never do wrong with fashion.

NEW IN: Sunnies

July 14, 2012

Prada -Baroque-Round-gucci-oversized-retro-cat-eye-Sunglasses
It’s the beginning of a new financial year! which means it is the time that I allow myself to shop without thinking about my yearly budget, until I get a heart attack half way through the year then start to count every cent 😛 Anyhow I have been eyeing these sunnies for so long. The Prada Baroque (bought here) is a must-have – it’s the perfect accessory to instantly make you look glam and chic . Also loving the super over-sized cat frame of the Gucci Retro Cat Eye Sunglasses – they fit perfectly on my meaty face. I had tried them on at David Jones which retails for AUD$460, and they just listed on shopbop (also available here) a lot cheaper so I took the deal.
