Suqqu Creamy Glow Lipstick KARAKURENAI – The Perfect Red

October 11, 2011

Suqqu Creamy Glow Lipstick KARAKURENAI 唐紅花  is THE red lipstick that I have been searching for my whole life . I could write a lengthy post praising how beautiful this red is..not berry, not plummy, not orangey, just a perfect flaming scarlet red on me that took my breath away…but I believe pictures speak a thousand words.

Texture is the most luxurious you can get – opaque, creamy, lightweight and moisturizing. My bare lips have been looking quite dry lately, but with the Suqqu creamy glow lipstick on, there is no signs of dryness as you can see in these close up shots.

suqqu-creamy-glow-lipstick-karakurenai-18-swatch-fotd-2Bottom Line: Everyone woman should have at least one or two red lipsticks, as it is an instant accessory that makes you feel sexier, put-together and more glamorous. If you are still hunting, get your hands on this one!

By God, you look amazing, woman!

Amanda October 11, 2011 at 4:32 pm

Stunning. I’m curious – what brand/colour blush you are wearing?

Reika October 12, 2011 at 11:30 pm

Hi Amanda I used the cream blush 02 by Etude House, it’s an asian brand so not sure if you have heard of it…

Amanda October 18, 2011 at 4:55 pm

Thanks Reika. I live in Toronto – we have several large Asian communities here; I live in an area referred to “Little Korea” (I am of Irish/German/French Canadian descent). An Asian cosmetics store has just opened in the area; I’m going by there today to see which brands they carry – I particularly want to try the collagen facial masks you have reviewed.

That *is* a lovely red. It manages to look translucent and milky simultaneously. Gorgeous lip.

nice shade!!! love it!!!

Wow! I am always afraid of buying expensive red lipsticks. I always go for Revlon at the drugstore because it’s hard to find a good red. You look fantastic!

Reika October 12, 2011 at 12:11 am

Thank you darl 🙂 I agree with you, Revlon makes the best red lipsticks out of all the drugstore brands but I find the formulation is a bit too drying for my lips.

Nina October 11, 2011 at 7:29 pm

This color looks FABOLOUS on you!

Nina October 11, 2011 at 7:31 pm

Reika October 12, 2011 at 12:11 am

Thanks Nina!

Elizabeth October 11, 2011 at 9:41 pm

Love this shade on you Reika, bright reds are my favourite. I love MAC Cockney, which leans a little bright pink – it’s fun, but i need a true-er red. Right?? lol, always an excuse to try new products!

Reika October 12, 2011 at 12:16 am

If you want a true red, this is THE ONE! Lol this is not an excuse, every woman needs a perfect red lippie in her life 🙂

Daisy October 11, 2011 at 11:44 pm

You look stunning!

What eye make up are you wearing in this?

Reika October 12, 2011 at 12:18 am

Thanks Daisy! I wore the Suqqu KAKITSUBATA palette, just a more smokey look than my previous FOTD.

Daisy October 12, 2011 at 4:33 pm

I love the whole look, Reika. Very classy.

Now, my wallent will weep, Suqqu Kakitsubata is on the wish list ( and will need to bride some friends overseas to get it for me — I live in the US)

Mel October 12, 2011 at 1:04 am

Hi Reika,

Where do you buy your suqqu products from?

Vonnie (socialitedreams) October 12, 2011 at 1:30 am

you have such perfect shaped lips! this is a great color on you

Jess October 12, 2011 at 2:19 am

Wow… your pictures indeed speak for themselves! You look absolutely stunning with this red on your lips! Also, the blush you wear totally matches the red of the lipstick too! I loooove your fair complexion – this look totally make me think of Snow White!

Agree that every woman should have one red lipstick, but it have to be the PERFECT one for the own skintone!

Will put this lippie into my (wish) shopping basket! 😉

popblush October 12, 2011 at 10:09 am

Oh my gosh! So nice! That red lipstick looks absolutely gorgeous on you! I also love that it brightens up your complexion.

I have been into bright lips lately. Realised how much difference a bold lip can make, especially on days that I go minimal on the eyes.

Replica October 12, 2011 at 7:28 pm

That is so pretty on you! I do tend to shy away from reds but that does look tempting 🙂

Petrina October 12, 2011 at 10:23 pm

The perfect red shade! You look fab in this 🙂 is the formulation like the Kose Esprique Mellow Forming Rouge Glow lipsticks? They are my fave formula lippies atm

Reika October 12, 2011 at 11:33 pm

Hi Petrina I ordered a few Esprique Mellow forming rouge lipsticks but haven’t had a chance to use them yet. I will report back soon. Suqqu creamy glow has the best formulation out of all the brands I’ve tried so far 🙂

Petrina October 13, 2011 at 12:27 pm

I hope you’ll like it – the Mellow Forming Rouge is my fave lippie atm – now I just have to find someone to help me buy SUQQU!

Joey Chong October 13, 2011 at 10:08 am

onlyfr33b33 October 14, 2011 at 1:11 am

Have you tried Makeup Forever Moulin Rouge lipstick? What do you think?

Reika October 15, 2011 at 12:09 pm

Unfortunately no as MUF is not readily available in Australia…will keep this shade in mind and might give it a try when I’m in the states!
