I buy myself a new everyday bag every start of the year, and my requirements for it have to be
- black
- roomy
- I can carry it either over my shoulder or with my elbow
- understated – no logo everywhere
- last but not least, it has to be light!
And I have finally found a lovely soft and slouchy grey-black Chanel Tote which is everything of what I am after! It has a distressed leather finish (similar finish as the classic reissue line)- so it looks quite worn already (in my mum’s opinion!) which means I can toss it around everywhere without worrying…The logo is very understated, but the signature Chanel Chain around the bag provides a sense of reassurance.
FYI: It is a size Medium and retails for USD$2900.

Lol..I meant that at least I think the bag is still looking Chanel-ish with the signature chain around it though most ppl won’t recognize it

I think it only comes in this color. No the strap metal doesn’t dig in as the leather is interwoven with it

Is this a limited edition one, or is it available from the permanent Chanel lineup? Currently, I’m aiming at purchasing a Chanel Classic Flap (I think it’s going to be a Jumbo one in black Caviar leather with gold hardware – what do you think, Reika?) and a Prada Saffiano Lux Tote in black. So, I seriously need to limit myself with buying any more makeup for quite a while! :/

Yes it was a limited edition. You can never go wrong with the chanel classic flap Jess! Between caviar and lambskin, I prefer lambskin for its look but caviar for its durability, so it depends on how much you are going to use this bag.
I have the Prada Saffiano Tote in black as well! It’s a very chic and practical bag, the only downside is that it’s quite heavy.
Lol..I tell myself to buy less makeup/skincare so I can have more funds for fashion items, but it fails every time I see a new collection!
Yes, the Lambskin looks very noble indeed, but I actually prefer the Caviar for it looks a tad more ‘casual’ so that I could wear it as a daytime bag with my usual outfit. I think that the Lambskin looks the best with more elegant and feminine outfits, which is not the typical style of mine.

Hi Joslynn, I bought it from the Chanel boutique in US. The retail price in US is much cheaper than in Aus, but you have to pay around 10% tax and 3% currency conversion fee, so it ends up a couple of hundred dollars cheaper.
