Foundations Reviews Part 1 – Coming Soon

May 25, 2011

Being a self proclaimed foundation addict, I am quite ashamed I have yet done any foundation reviews. So I have set myself a ‘tough’ challenge. I am going to get through the reveiws for all the foundations shown in the picture by the end of June! I am hoping I can do at least 1 foundation review a week.

These are a subset of my foundations collection, they are mainly relatively new or my recent favorites.

Becca Luminous Skin color

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua – ultra light skin perfecting makeup

Dior Extreme Fit – extreme wear flawless makeup

Cle de Peau teint naturel fluide cream foundation

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

Shu Uemura UV Under base Mouse BB Cream

best-foundations-1The rest of my foundations (not in the pic) will be covered in part 2 and 3.

Very anxious to read your review as I’m considering a couple of the foundations listed above.

Thanks Sue. I will be happy if my review can be of any help for you 🙂

Foundation reviews are always helpful to read. Definetely curious about the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation since it’s gotten so many mixed reviews.

Will we possibly be seeing an eye brush(es) review post some time? I also wanted to know if you have ever tried Hakuhodo Yachiyo and Louise Young brush as I’ve heard good things about both brands.

Hi Audrey. I am planning to do an eye brushes review soon! I haven’t got Hakuhodo brushes..yet! I am very tempted to order some as I am pretty sure they are one of best brushes in the market. At the moment I am tossing between whether to order a set of Hakuhodo or Suqqu brushes….tough decision you know..:-P

Hi Reika! Thanks a lot for visiting my blog and leaving me such a kind comment! You have a great blog here too!

Great foundations you picked! I really wished I could use the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, but all shades are too dark for me. As for the Shu Uemura Underbase, I keep hearing nothing but good things about it!
Maybe I’m still able to pick it up on my travel to Taiwan this summer.

I will definitely add you to my blogroll now! 😉

Thank you so much Jess!
How exciting that you are going to Taiwan soon, I just came back from Taiwan not long ago, and enjoyed every minute there! It is a shopping paradise for makeup lovers 🙂

I want to hear about the Shu Uemera BB Cream! Do you use BB creams? I’m falling in love with them.

Reika May 27, 2011 at 1:35 pm

I love BB cream too! I was obsessed with BB creams when they just came I am switching between foundations and BB creams.

Hi Reika !
I´m Cristina from Spain . How match of colour do you have in chanel vitalumiere aqua ? I´m so fair and I think I need B10 but in Spain the light colour is B30 so dark for me… Thanks for your time and sorry my bad english .

Reika October 4, 2011 at 1:53 pm

Hi Cristina my shade is B20 and it is a little too dark for me. If you are really pale then you definitely should go for B10 or BR10.

I was just wondering what shade you use for the Becca foundation. I have been interested in trying it, but I am hesitant to buy because it’s hard to find tones that complement Asian skin tones.
